ELISA kit for human  S100A12

F-INFL-ELISA is a robust and reliable test designed to measure human S100A12 protein in stools. S100A12 protein is over-expressed at inflammatory sites and its stool concentrations are correlated with disease stage and activity. It is abundant in the bowel mucous of patients affected by inflammatory bowel disease including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.


This kit is "For Research Use Only, not for use in diagnostic procedures".


  • Working range: 0 – 12 µg/g of stool
  • Sample: stool (Faeces treatment + predilution of samples 1/50) – 100 µL
  • Functional sensitivity: 0.27 µg/g of stool

Two monoclonal antibodies directed against S100A12 protein are used for the sandwich. A first monoclonal antibody is immobilized on the microplate, while a second monoclonal antibody is conjugated to Horse-Radish-Peroxidase. After the second incubation, unfixed reagents are eliminated before the addition of the HRP substrate, TMB. NB: prior to the assay, a faeces treatment and 1/50 predilution of the samples are required. Three-step assay procedure: 30 min at RT / shaking + 30 min at RT / shaking + 10 min at RT.
