C-peptide immunoradiometric assay kit RIA
The CPEP-US kit is an IRMA assay used on serum, plasma or urine samples to detect C-peptide in insulin disorders.
It has been standardized on NIBSC 84 /510.
For Research Use Only, not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Overview
Differentially diagnose between type I (T1DM) and type II (T2DM) diabetes mellitus
Assess residual β-cell function in diabetes patients undergoing insulin therapy
Detect and monitor remission period in type I diabetes mellitus
Diagnose insulin induced factitious hypoglycemia
Diagnose insulinoma (contribution)
Benefits
- STANDARDIZED ON NIBSC 84/510
- ACCURATE AND RELIABLE ASSAY
Assay principle: sandwich
Two monoclonal antibodies directed against sterically remote sites on the C-peptide molecule are used for the sandwich. The first monoclonal antibody is adsorbed onto the tube walls. The second monoclonal antibody, radiolabelled with iodine-125, is used as the tracer.
NB: Prior to being assayed, urine samples need to be diluted (1/21).
One-step assay procedure: 2h at RT / shaking.
Features
Working range: 0.012 – 6.0 nmol/L or 0.036 – 18 ng/mL (NIBSC 84/150)
Sample: serum, plasma or urine - 50 µL
Analytical sensitivity: 0.012 nmol/L or 0.036 ng/mL
