Whatever their field of expertise, their position in our company, they are in permanent interaction and strive for your projects’ success. We have asked a few of them to share how they live “interactions” everyday.
Interaction is at the heart of my job. Indeed, my main objective as Head of Custom Development & Technical Support is to understand what each client wishes to detect and why, in order to develop an assay that meets those unique needs. I discuss possible strategies and share the different stages of development with them so that, together, we can identify the best solution for them. I then follow-up with each client to make sure that the resulting kit meets their expectations, and, if needed, visit them to help set-up the use of the test in their own lab.
My dream is to sail around the world, but it is only one of the many exciting adventures I hope to live!
Laurent
My responsibilities as Chemistry Project Manager at Cisbio include overseeing the chemistry side of our Custom Solutions activity to find original labeling solutions for our customer’s specific projects, as well as working on improving the sensitivity of our probes to enhance the overall performance of our assays. In chemistry, like in life, I like to challenge myself to push the boundaries of performance. My dream is to complete the ascent to the summits of Mount Acongagua in Argentina, the highest point in the southern hemisphere at 6962m, and of Mount Shishapangma in Tibet/China, which is the 14th highest mountain in the world at 8027m.

After leading Cisbio's R&D group dedicated to assays and applications for oncology research, I have taken a new role as Global Product Manager. I utilize my experience and connections with industry experts, fellow researchers, and current team members to identify the hot topics in oncology and immuno-oncology. This knowledge and understanding will lead the way to new assays and ultimately help progress the discovery of new drugs helping to fight cancer. To me, "interaction" means collaboration, exchange, and connection, paving the way to innovation!
On a personal note, my dream is to make it possible for my family and friends to share an amazing trip on a paradise island. This would require winning the lottery, but luckily Corsica is very beautiful and much more accessible!
Tristan
As Industrialization & Production Support Manager, I manage a team of talented technicians to produce the reagent components of our Life Science kits to guarantee the complete satisfaction of our customers. I believe that interaction is what makes a system as a whole more than the sum of its parts; it is what makes 1 plus 1 sometimes equal 3!
On a personal note, I greatly admire Jules Verne, and in particular The Mysterious Island. I am inspired by the challenge faced by Cyrus Smith on the uncharted island in re-establishing a thriving mini-civilization.

What I love most about my job as Cisbio’s Sales Account Manager for France, Spain, Italy, and Belgium is that I have the opportunity to exchange on both a scientific and personal level with our clients. Whether on a visit to discuss their projects or needs, when following up on the results they have obtained, or at a convention, I get to meet impassioned and involved people. I particularly enjoy the novelty and uniqueness of each exchange and being able to create a link between our clients and Cisbio’s teams. These types of positive exchanges are exactly what the word “interaction” brings to mind for me.
I am also passionate about connecting to the world around me through music, travelling, hiking in nature, deep-sea diving, and protecting the environment, with a particular focus on ocean life.

I am Senior Logistics Technician at Cisbio. I package the In Vitro Diagnostics and Life Science kits. I prepare and ship products to our different branches and orders to our clients. My first priority is to maintain the highest quality and the shortest delivery time to provide the utmost satisfaction.
On a personal level, I am a huge sports fan, and in particular of soccer (Go Nîmes Olympique!), where, like in life, interactions and exchanges are key. I hope to one day win the lottery so as to be able to accomplish all of my dreams, even the wildest ones!
Estelle
As Senior Technical Specialist at Cisbio US, I am in charge of sales and technical support for all academics in the US and South America. This means that I answer any questions they might have at any time about HTRF reagents and assays. From ensuring that they receive their orders as quickly as possible to providing guidance and training in the use of the test, I am available to help our customers every step of the way. I believe that, whether for molecules or for people, interaction is essential and inevitable. Through the associations and partnerships that interaction generates, we can accomplish anything! For example, in my personal life, I am a member of a charity that helps youth development in Chad. By working together with our partners, we have so far been able to provide books, school and sports supplies, and built a classroom. I am hoping we can one day help build a library: a challenging project, but thanks to interaction, not impossible!
Chris
As Shipping & receiving Specialist for Cisbio US, my role is to make sure that our customers come first and receive their orders in a timely fashion. I manage product inventory and I am constantly connected with my colleagues at Cisbio to guarantee that our stocks always support researchers’ projects.
On a more personal note, I want to get involved in the fight against cancer, and, one day, ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge. This 192-mile ride to raise money for cancer research and treatment at the Dana Faber Cancer Institute illustrates what interaction means to me: people coming together and learning from one another in support of one cause, regardless of their backgrounds.

I am Cisbio’s Production Planning & Scheduling Manager. As such, I coordinate with our sales teams, our production teams, and our suppliers to maintain product inventories that fully meet our customer’s delivery expectations. To me, interaction means a strong relationship based on mutual trust with our customers, which I deeply value and nurture every day. I also greatly enjoy food and cooking. So one day, I would like to open a Bed and Breakfast, where I could keep creating connections with people, as well as share my culinary passion with them!
Najim
Within Cisbio’s R&D department, I develop new HTRF kits for the study of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). GPCR signaling regulates almost all forms of cellular communication and plays an important role in cell biology, which is why they are the largest class of target for many drugs used to treat a variety of diseases. This, for me, illustrates the meaning of interaction: an exchange between two (or more) entities that can bring about change in one or both parties. For an utter change of perspective, one of my personal dreams is to go to space and see our planet in a whole new way.

In my job as Head of Production and Quality Control, I always try to step into our customers’ shoes so that we can deliver the best products at the best possible prices. I use my knowledge of our customers’ environments to improve the products we offer, I help optimize production processes to reduce costs and improve production times to enable shorter delivery times. With my team, we aspire to be more than a typical production team and will go to great lengths to ensure that the solutions we create are flexible and customer-friendly.
A few years ago, I completed the ascension of the Kilimanjaro, which had long been a dream of mine, and which is now a wonderful memory of difficulties overcome. It is the same determination that I apply to my work and the challenges we face with my team!
Philippe
As Production Technician for the Life Science kits, I always challenge myself to produce assays of the highest quality in the shortest amount of time possible in order to bring our clients utmost satisfaction. I see “interaction” as a two-way street along which we each take a step toward the other: when everyone does their bit, we all come out ahead!
In addition to pushing and challenging myself, my passion is volcanoes. In order to stay active and blow off some steam, I would love to travel the world to climb up as many volcanoes as I can! What a blast that would be!
