Melanocortin MC4R stably expressing cells
Tag-lite Melanocortin MC4 stably expressing cells
To date five melanocortin receptor subtypes (MC1R to MC5R) have been characterized. Expression of MC5R has been associated with sebocyte differentiation and sebum production.
Cells expressing the MC5 receptor are provided pre-labeled with Terbium, and can be used to conduct receptor binding studies on the aforementioned receptor.
Examples of data obtained using Melanocortin MC5 labeled cells and their matching fluorescent ligand (L0006RED). NDP-alpha-MSH was used as reference ligand. Results may vary from one HTRF® compatible reader to another.
