Account Manager

Job summary:

Job Brief:

We are looking for an Account Manager with experience selling immunoassay kits, reagents and custom services to Drug Discovery scientists in the Massachusetts area. Cisbio develops novel ready-to-use assay kits and reagents that are easy to use and integrate into automated workflows, such as high-throughput screening, assay development and lead optimization. Their assays produce superior results, and they are a long-standing market leader. This is an exciting company with outstanding company culture!


Major Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Identify, qualify and close sales opportunities in biotech and pharmaceutical accounts for HTRF reagents and custom services in assigned region. 
  • Work with a dedicated Scientific Consultant to manage technical opportunities and develop action plans to ensure successful product adoption and grow custom services business.
  • Work closely with Sales Manager to ensure successful adoption of HTRF technology for customers.
  • Create and manage sales and marketing initiatives, incorporating current and evolving customer requirements. 
  • Provide primary source of market/customer intelligence to assist business development strategy and to maximize company competitiveness and success.  
  • Communicate current and evolving customer needs to assist the company’s research and development strategy through monthly reporting.
  • Prepare and implement sales forecasts to maximize product line sales and business development.
  • Support trade show promotion by attendance at industry related meetings.
  • There is extensive travel in territory with occasional international travel and attendance at industry relevant events.
  • Utilize and Develop CRM database for client and account info, meeting summaries, strategic planning and all quoting.


Key Competencies:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Drug Discovery workflows especially as related to Assay Development, High Throughput Screening and Lead Optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Therapeutic Areas and their biology, process drivers and decision points.
  • Proven ability to execute business development in this segment.

  • BS in Life Sciences or similar
  • 5+ year track record of increasingly successful technical sales with knowledge of biotech and/or pharmaceutical drug development technologies and processes preferred. 
  • Lab experience is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and team building skills.           
  • Exceptional initiative and drive.
  • Usage of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience with LAMP a plus
