Sensitive Human total estradiol-17beta-E2 RIA
The ESTR-S-US kit is a radioimmunoassay of human total estradiol-17ß and constitutes an outstanding tool for investigations into estrogen-associated disorders.
For Research Use Only, not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Assess puberty in young girls with clinical signs of an estrogen hypersecretion
Assess menopause Identify estrogen secreting tumors
Evaluate hyperestrogenism in men
- EXCELLENT SENSITIVITY
- VERY LOW CROSS-REACTIVITY WITH ESTRONE (0.97%)
The principle of the assay is based on a two-step competition. First, the samples are incubated in the coated tubes with anti-estradiol polyclonal antibodies adsorbed to the wall. A 125I-estradiol tracer is then added to saturate the remaining free antibody sites. Any unbound tracer is then removed.
Assay procedure: 1h at 37°C + 1 h at 37°C.
Working range: 5 – 2000 pmol/L (standards are prepared gravimetrically)
Sample: serum or heparin, EDTA plasma – 200 µL
Analytical sensitivity: 5 pmol/L
