MAP-Tau (microtubule-associated protein Tau) are soluble proteins required to stabilize microtubules through tubulin association. Deregulation of MAP-Tau expression and subsequent phosphorylation have been correlated to the onset of pathologies linked to the nervous system such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. The MAP-Tau assay enables the quantification of microtubule-associated protein Tau in cell lysates.
